How Kakobuy Works: A Step-by-Step Guide
Everything from creating an account to tracking your parcel — the complete Kakobuy buying flow explained for first-time shoppers.
Register a free account
Create a Kakobuy account with a valid email, username and password. Registered users can change or recover their password any time from the member center.
Find a product & submit an order
Copy a product link from a supported Chinese platform — Taobao, Tmall, 1688 or JD — or paste details manually if a link can't be crawled. Submit it as a purchase order. For 1688, check minimum quantities and seller credit first.
Pay item + domestic shipping
After submitting, pay the product price plus any domestic China shipping. If the seller's price, stock or shipping changes, Kakobuy may ask you to pay a difference or notify you of an out-of-stock item.
Warehouse receipt & basic QC
When the seller ships to the Kakobuy warehouse, staff check appearance, style and size and measure weight and volume. Authenticity, function and sealed contents are not part of standard QC.
Review QC & add-ons
Once stored, you can view QC/warehouse photos and optionally buy value-added services such as personalized photos, vacuum packing, reinforcement or extended storage.
Ship internationally & track
Select the items to send, enter your address, choose a shipping line and declare as required. Pay international freight, then track the parcel to your door. After-sales rules cover delays, inspection, returns and claims.
Tips before your first order
- Keep a small balance in your account so shipping can be paid promptly when the final weight is known.
- Remember standard QC checks appearance, style and size — not authenticity or function.
- Consolidate items from one seller, and across sellers, to cut international freight.
- Check shipping restrictions and your country's import taxes before choosing a line.
