Kakobuy Value-Added Services: Photos, Packing & Storage
Beyond buying and shipping, Kakobuy’s warehouse offers optional add-ons: extra photos, faster buying, space-saving vacuum packing, weight previews, fragile-item reinforcement and longer storage. Here’s what each costs and how to request it.
Value-added services are optional extras you buy while goods sit in the warehouse. Most are ordered from the “Discount Information” area or ticked on the waybill submission page, and most ask you to note the relevant product number (OG + number) or parcel number (S + number) in the remarks. Prices below are Kakobuy’s stated yuan rates and can change.
Personalized photograph — ¥2/photo
Need a specific shot — a chest logo, a length measurement, a detail close-up? Once an item is in stock you can buy personalized photos. You’ll receive them by internal message within 24 hours. Charge: ¥2 per photo (buy the quantity matching the number of photos you need).
In the remarks box, include: (1) the product ID (OG + number), and (2) exactly what to photograph, e.g. “photograph the chest logo” or “measure and photograph the garment length”.
Parcel photo — free
Parcel photos capture the packing state before dispatch — product placement before sealing, the sealed parcel, and (for weight-based lines) the actual weight; volume-based lines get placement plus two sealed-parcel photos. It’s free, but you must tick “Parcel Photograph” on the waybill submission page — if unchecked, no photos are taken by default. You’ll find them under “My Package” within 24 hours.
Priority purchase — ¥5/order
Tick “priority purchase” when submitting an order and it’s processed within 4 hours of the buyer’s working time (if confirmation or a top-up is needed, you must respond before buying). Charge: ¥5 per commodity order (OG).
Buyer working hours: Taobao/Tmall/JD and similar — Mon–Sun 9:00–18:00; Weidian/Yupoo/Xianyu and similar — Mon–Sun 9:00–18:00; other third-party platforms — Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00.
Vacuum packaging — ¥20/package
Vacuum compression bags are mainly for quilts and clothing — they greatly reduce volume to save shipping space and add some resistance to moisture, mildew, moths and odor. Charge: ¥20 per package. Tick the service on the waybill submission page to buy it.
Pre-packaging (weight preview) — ¥18/time
Pre-packing gives you the parcel’s weight before it officially ships, so you can gauge freight in advance. Charge: ¥18 per time. Two ways to buy:
- Parcel already submitted (freight not yet paid): note the parcel number (S + number). Kakobuy updates the weight after pre-packing, and you can ship once you pay.
- No parcel submitted yet: note the product number (OG + number); ideally have all items in “can submit parcel” state first.
Completed within 24 hours; results (and weight) arrive via order message. If the actual packing requirements differ from the pre-packing note, the weight won’t be updated.
Fragile-goods reinforcement — ¥10/item
This wraps fragile items (ceramics, glass) in air-column buffer bags for strong shock resistance; it’s not recommended for non-fragile goods. Buy it when the item is “Warehousing” or “Can submit parcel”; the item’s weight updates after packing. Charge: ¥10 per item — buy the quantity matching the number of fragile pieces (e.g. 3 glasses = 3 units). You’ll get a photo of the packed product by internal message within 24 hours. In remarks, note the product number(s) (OG + number).
Extended storage — ¥20/order per 100 days
Free storage runs 100 days from when the order becomes “package can be submitted”. To keep goods longer, buy extended storage: ¥20 per order (OG) per 100 days, in 100-day units. Purchase before the free period expires. In remarks, list the product numbers (OG + number) to extend. Once paid, Kakobuy confirms the new storage deadline by message within 24 hours.
