Kakobuy Shipping & Customs: Lines, Weight and Taxes

International shipping is where most questions come up. Here is how Kakobuy freight, weight and customs work in practice.

Declaration rules and restrictions differ by shipping line.

Chargeable weight

Freight is billed on chargeable weight — the greater of the parcel's actual weight and its volumetric weight (length × width × height ÷ a divisor). Bulky-but-light parcels are billed by volume.

Consolidation saves money

Combining several items into one parcel spreads fixed first-weight costs across more goods, which usually lowers cost per item.

Declaration & lines

Each shipping line has its own declaration rules and restricted items. Some goods (batteries, liquids, branded items) may be limited. Pick a line that fits your destination and contents.

Customs & taxes

Customs inspection is usually random. If your declared value exceeds your country's threshold, you may pay import VAT or duty. In the EU, VAT applies to imported goods since the July 2021 rules. Provide a tax ID where required so parcels are not held.
